AquaGold® takes the science behind the skin-enhancing benefits of microneedling a step further. This groundbreaking microinjection system delivers powerful skincare ingredients and injectables deep into the dermis, allowing for greater absorption. First, your provider at Rapaport Plastic Surgery will assess your skin and discuss your goals. Together, you’ll create a customized treatment plan and choose your infusion blend. Some patients only want skincare serums; others want to include additional treatments like dermal fillers or neurotoxins to address facial volume loss and wrinkles.

The hair-thin needles of the AquaGold® device cause very little discomfort, but we can provide a numbing cream if you prefer. Then, your provider will stamp the small device over your skin. The tiny needles create microchannels and infuse your chosen serums into your dermis.

This process typically takes just 20 minutes, though you may need to wait a little while for the numbing cream to take effect. Since there’s no downtime after, AquaGold® is an easy procedure to do on a lunch break.

While traditional microneedling may be slightly uncomfortable and requires minimal downtime, AquaGold® is a painless procedure involving no downtime. The device uses tiny, hair-thin needles that are gold-plated, making it virtually painless and minimizing side effects. 

You may have a slight redness after an AquaGold® treatment, but this generally subsides within an hour of treatment. The skin may remain slightly pink for a few days. AquaGold® can be accompanied by the infusion of moisturizers and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) that soothes the skin and promotes healing.

Most people notice smoother, brighter skin within a few days of AquaGold® fine touch™ and optimal results within two weeks. If you have neurotoxins included in your infusion, such as Botox®, it takes approximately one week to take effect. Dermal fillers like Juvederm® and Restylane® will immediately add volume and smoothness if they’re included in your AquaGold® treatment.

Depending on your goals and what kind of skin concerns you want to target, we may recommend a series of monthly AquaGold® sessions. Then, you can maintain your more radiant complexion with treatments every few months.
