What is Platelet-Rich Plasma "PRP"?

A small amount of blood (similar to what is required for a basic lab test) is drawn. The blood is placed in a centrifuge that spins the blood at a fast speed to separate the liquid plasma from other components. The isolated portion of the plasma that is richest in stem cells and growth factors works to signal growth factors which are key in your body's natural healing and regenerative abilities.

How is PRP used?

PRP can be used in a variety of ways. Most commonly, PRP can be injected directly into the scalp to treat hair thinning and loss in both male and female patients. This protocol is currently being used on its own and in combination with the NeoGraft F.U.E. hair transplant procedure. Injectable PRP can also be used in combination with dermal fillers to help restore volume in facial areas.

PRP is also used as a topical treatment with skin rejuvenation treatments such as Microneedling, Fractora & Clear+Brilliant. These treatments create micro-channels in the superficial layers of the skin, allowing the PRP to treat at deeper levels boosting collagen production and treating textural concerns such as acne scarring, skin laxity and fine lines.
