Preoperation, this patient’s implants were subglandular (over the muscle), silicone, and had severe capsular contracture (hardness). The implants were replaced with new Ideal implants (structured saline implants, with a far lower rupture rate than traditional saline or silicone implants), placed under the muscle. Note the far more natural appearance with these implants being under the muscle. The patient preferred Ideal saline implants to silicone, as the Ideal implant offers peace of mind regarding the possibility of silent rupture with silicone implants.
