Liposculpture
Plastic Surgery
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, David P. Rapaport, MD sees
many patients at his Manhattan, New York plastic surgery
facility who seek liposculpture. Liposculpture plastic
surgery is more than simply removing fat. The
goal of liposculpture is to have a more shapely figure or
physique. It is the plastic surgeon’s job to sculpt the fat
in such a way so as to create a beautiful form.
Liposculpture plastic surgery can be performed
literally from head to toe; popular areas are the hips,
thighs and tummies for women and love handles, stomach for
men.
The Board Certified
Plastic Surgeon, David P. Rapaport, MD treats each and every
liposuction procedure he performs as liposculputre. He
has performed literally thousands of such procedures in his
Manhattan, New York accredited office based surgery facility
on men and women including models, actors, trainers,
newscasters, politicians, and of course ordinary people from
every walk of life.
Liposculpture
plastic surgery is becoming one of the most commonly
performed operations in Plastic Surgery. Liposculpture is
used to improve your figure in either one specific area, or
in several areas. Liposculpture is a both a scientific
procedure and an artistic one, incorporating a concern for
the patient's well-being and health during and after surgery
with a genuine artistic sculpting of tissues.
Where will my liposculpture plastic surgery be performed?
Your liposculpture surgery will be performed by Board
Certified Plastic Surgeon, David P. Rapapart, MD at his
fully accredited out-patient Manhattan, New York facility.
How long does the surgery take / when can I return back to
work? The liposculpture procedure varies between 1 and 3
hours, depending upon how much work is to be done in various
areas of the body.
How long will my recovery take? Healing is a gradual
process; you will probably be advised to start walking
around as soon as possible to reduce swelling and prevent
blood clots from forming in your legs. You will begin to
feel better after about a week or so and you should be back
at work within a few days following your surgery. The
stitches are removed or dissolve on their own within the
first week to ten days.
When can I
resume physical activities? You will generally be able
to begin resumption of your normal activities in two to
three weeks. Patients are back to work in 3-6 days. Each case
is different and the plastic surgeon will discuss your
specific recovery thoroughly with you.
What am I to expect after my liposculpture surgery? After
surgery, you will likely experience some fluid drainage from
the incisions. To control
swelling and to help your skin better fit its new contours,
you may be fitted with a snug elastic garment to wear over
the treated area for a few weeks. The NYC Plastic Surgeon
may also prescribe antibiotics to prevent infection. Each
case varies and the Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, David
P. Rapaport will personally discuss what you should expect
post-operatively with you.
